This past Sunday saw the eviction of the Motswana housemate in the Big Brother house. When she came out, she said her mind and although I felt a little shivers, I at the end of it all thought that she was speaking her mind. Many people who claim to have Morales were on a tip that she was embarrassing the country; I beg to differ on that topic. Tawana going into the Big Brother Africa house had nothing to do with her representing the country. She had gone there on her behalf, that’s why if she had won the money it was entirely going to be hers and would in no way be subjected to share it with the country. DT Flops Big Time If we had books like Guinness, then DT’s past Saturday launch would have definitely graced the latest covers. He would be known by now and would be selling records and loosing that small that he uses to move around town ana le Bk Proctor, Eugene Jackson, Steeze and T.H.A.B.O even though it’s a two seater. The brother would be a baler by now. Anyway DT saw serious dust as only less than 50 people showed up. I personally think the main cause of the flop was the confusion that circulated earlier on about how some artist were pulling out of the show, and as if DT did not deny it, the artists were nowhere to be seen on the day. I have to give the brother props for going down fighting though. He performed with a live band, something I rate as an A plus from an artist. He also gave props to the performers who came thru. Mare all in all it was a disaster in the making. Exodus Live Poetry, a force to be reckon with Recently I had a bad experience when I for years was suppose to take someone to the Exodus Live Poetry, but because I did not like Poetry ended something beautiful I had, I think. These events are big bra and them hiring Stampore to come perform there was an eye opener for me. The crowd is just way too descent and are punctual. The poets and other performers know what they are doing on stage. I simply cannot explain it in words, but the guys have variety of ongoing festivities on the night. I really enjoyed and if they are coming back next year then I am definitely going. Gilbert Promotions signs Eureka Last week saw Kabelo of Culture Spears get on both radio and newspapers to get rid of speculations made by Chilly, who had went on record to say that he had produced their first and second albums respectively. Now Eureka had spoken to me the same week, and was saying how he is changing management. News coming out are that Eureka has being signed to Gilbert Promotions and that they will have a pre album launch for him on Friday @ Lizard Lounge. Still on Gilbert Promotions, Pp tells me that he has a pre party somewhere in Gaborone. If you want to be invited then all you have to do is call him on 71797354 and you will be given a free invite. Heard Around 1. We have heard from people that Architect has moved from Sine wave productions. We got in touch with AK and he has denied any knowledge on the said matter, he even stated that he was with the producer the previous day, so he confirms that it is not true. 2. A few weeks after parting ways with Franco, Mox is said to have fathered a baby girl with his girlfriend. He was seeing over the weekend over at DT’s launch. He was one of the 20 people who came. 3. A new artist on the block called Vebrock has organized a session at Satchmo this evening. She got so mad at me last week for not reviewing her album called ‘How can I kill’. To Vebrock I say this, no favors mama; you have to wait in the line like other artists. When the time is ready you shall have your share. 4. T.H.A.B.O has released yet another part ya Untshwarable, I think I lost count along the way. Are o ema in which part, because we might get tired before the last one? |
