Global expo 2008

ImageThe third Global Expo Botswana will be held from thr 15-18 October, 2008 at the Botswana Conference and Exhibition Centre (Fairgrounds).

The objectives of the expo will be to among others

    * Attract Foreign Direct Investment
    * Promote Joint venture opportunities between citizens and foreign investors
    * Stimulate a culture of entrepreneurship locally
    * Promote exports of locally produced goods
    * Promote access to the Botswana market for international exhibitors Distinguishing features of Global Expo Botswana

It will be conducted in an environment conducive to business interaction:

    * All halls will be carpeted and fully air conditioned
    * No selling will be allowed
    * Value-added services: Free internet access, buyer seller meetings, workshops, investment forum.
    * Entry will strictly be by invitation save on the public day
    * Will be professionally run

The three parallel workshops which will be held on 17/10/2008 will cover the following topics:

   1. Procurement in Botswana from PPADB perspective, from DIA LPP perspective, from Debswana supply chain management programme
   2. Market Access with focus on emerging regional market of Zambia, DRC, Angola and Mozambique to be deliberated by SADC Secretariat and Whitehouse Associates (From RSA)
   3. Short term financing options for SMME's in Botswana by : BDC Invoice Discounting Division, BECI (Export Credit Guarantee and Insurance) as well local commercial banksIt's that time of year again, when World Dance Academy have our annual Show Dinner and Dance!!
