How to Play Miniature Golf • If you are left handed you should stand facing the left side of the hole and if you are right handed you should stand facing the right side of the hole. • You should also stand with your feet about shoulders width apart to help keep your balance. • When you swing the club you should not move your feet. You should only move from your hips up. Holding the Putter• Positioning the putter correctly is one of the most important parts in playing miniature golf. You hold the putter by the handle. This means that the flat end is towards the ground. In other words the putter looks like an L. You hold the up and down part of the L. • If you are right handed, then you put you left hand on towards the top of the handle. If you are left handed, you put your right hand on towards the top of the handle. You put your other hand towards the lower part of the ruber grip on the club. This helps you to direct the ball in the right direction. Hitting the Ball • First you place the ball on the little carpet at the start of the hole. • Then you take your club hold it with the flat part next to the ball. The farther you swing the club back the harder you will hit the ball. This means that a little swing will make the ball go a small distance than a larger swing. By practicing you will be able to tell how hard you need to hit the ball. • To hit the ball into the hole, you must line up the ball. If the hole is around a curve, then you will have to hit off of the wall. • If playing with two or more people, you can play one of two ways. The usual way is that after everyone has had their first shot, the person who hits the ball first is the one whose ball is farthest from the hole. If you are just playing for fun though, you can just alternate who hits the ball next. Scoring• When you are given your club and ball, you are usually given a score sheet and a pencil. It will have hole numbers one through nine or one through eighteen, depending on the course that you are playing on. After you are all done for the hole, write the number of times you hit the ball to make it go into the hole. • Usually if there are two or more players, the person who hit the ball the fewer times on the previous hole goes first on the next hole. When people play for fun though, they sometimes alternate who goes first. “As a corporate get together, you cannot beat Action Golf.It is a skillful game with loads of fun and ideal for tournaments and leagues.Great for the family too,I highly recommend it.” Dale Hayes Open from 10am – 8pm (Monday to Thursday) 10am – 8pm (Friday to Sunday) |
